According to Vastu Shastra, the mandir or temple should be placed in a suitable direction and location inside the home for positive energy and prosperity. Here are some guidelines for placing a mandir inside the home:
North-East Direction
The most favorable direction to place a mandir is the north-east direction of the house. This is considered the direction of Lord Shiva and is associated with positivity, prosperity, and spiritual growth.
East or West Direction
If the north-east corner is not available, the mandir can be placed in the east or west direction. The mandir should be placed in such a way that you face east or west while praying.
Avoid South Direction
The south direction is considered inauspicious for placing a mandir. Therefore, it is best to avoid placing the mandir in the south direction.
Avoid Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The mandir should not be placed in the bedrooms or bathrooms of the house. The vibrations of the mandir are not compatible with the energies of these rooms.
Do not place the mandir under a staircase or beam as it is considered inauspicious.
It is important to note that the above guidelines are not set in stone, and the final placement of a mandir should be based on a careful analysis of the specific circumstances of each case.
